Central Catholic senior Max Girardet finished second in the varsity Orange race in 14:50.7 for 5,000 meters at McIver Park in rural Clackamas County. Girardet was running without usual training partner Wes Shipsey, who sat out with a sore knee. The US#9 Rams lost the team competition on a sixth-runner tiebreaker to Lincoln.
